| Review: | access america a scam i have read many complaints about access america and i just want to add to the chorus. my mother (90 years old) has cancer; we bought tickets to take care of her for a month; she got worse and began to cry when we said we were leaving (after being here a month) so we cancelled our flight and bought a later ticket. there was nothing in the short description when we bought this insurance that mentioned pre-existing conditions for someone who is not flying. instead the impression was that it provided "peace of mind" and was good for cancellations period. later when talking to them i find out that the pre-existing condition also refers to family members who did not purchase tickets. by the letter of the law they are right, but by all that's moral and reasonable and by the initial understanding of someone buying insurance on line there is nothing to indicate that it would be so difficult to obtain any kind of refund. I'll never buy this insurance again nor tickets from jet blue that associated its name with access america and which led me to believe this was a legitimate rather than a rip off company |
