| Review: | Don't Waste Your Time My complain is much the same as all the others shown in the reviews. My claims were denied because of their pre-existing condition out. If you have a family member with a terminal disease and you plan to buy travel insurance just in case you might need to cancel a trip and hope to get a refund, don't count on Access America. I worked with them for 4 months going back and forth as to whether they received all the information or not. They seem to have a major time delay getting all the documents processed through their imaging system. Then after talking to most of their representatives, I finally convinced them that all documents had been sent only to find out that the claim was denied! Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | waist of money This is a waist of money. I would never, ever get coverage with them. Our trip was delayed and the luggage was lost.and they did not cover anything...they asked for documentation from the airline when I already send all the original tickets and the claim file with the company. Again a big , big waist of money! Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | DO NOT BUY THIS WORTHLESS INSURANCE Google search Access America complaints. My complaint is repeated there many times. My Mother was dying and I had to take an earlier flight thinking the other flight would be covered by the insurance but they said since my mother was in the hospital and then went into hospice it was a pre-existing condition Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Don't buy this!!!!! I had to cancel a plane flight in February because my 79-year-old mother got hepatitis. Gathered all the forms and sent a claim to Access America. When I called a week later, the runaround began. They're swamped with claims, call back in a week, try again in a week, no adjusters are available right now, your claim just isn't here and we don't know why. The excuses go on and on and on. It's been a month, I've submitted the claim twice, and I have yet to even get assigned a claim number. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | takes threats to collect My husband and I purchased tickets and ins for a trip to Macedonia to visit friends working there. Several days later, the friend was diagnosed with breast cancer, evacuated to London and then home for surgery and treatment. He also left his job. We filed for reimbursement after reading the policy "when a friend or family member becomes unable to host you". They requested so much documentation it was embarrassing for us to keep asking our friends. Finally our local insurance man, said "just cc a letter to the Oregon (our state of residence) Insurance Commission and you'll get results". And voila, a couple of weeks later we had 2 checks in the mail for the total amt of our 2 tickets. Try it! Comments [ 0 ] |
